I also made the pants. Like you I was not keen on the wide waist band. The first pair I made as to the pattern, I did not feel secure during me first 'trial' at yoga in my pants. So I put wide elastic in and that solved the problem. I made a second pair and shortened the band and put wide elastic in. Perfect. I used a navy blue velour for the first and a light fawn colour for the second. I also made the hooded jacket to match each pair. The jackets turned out lovely. I use them all the time even with other outfits! I've been contemplating making a third jacket in a plum velour, they are just so good! The pants are a very good shape and quite trendy.
